Midland Center For the Arts Announces 2026-27 Season With Six Broadway National Tours & World-Class Performances

A spectacular season awaits as the nonprofit Midland Center for the Arts  announces its 2026/27 season. Featuring the greatest shows direct from Broadway, to artists from around the world, symphonic masterworks with the Midland Symphony Orchestra, and local theatrical productions by Center Stage Theatre, the new season invites audiences to gather for experiences that entertain, move and connect.

This season also arrives during a historic period of transformation for the Center, as Midland Center for the Arts prepares to reopen its Museum and expand opportunities for the community to engage across art, science and history. The season announcement reflects the organization’s renewed mission: sparking creativity by connecting art and science across the past, present, and future.

The Midland Symphony Orchestra continues its tradition of bold and engaging programming with a five-concert season. Highlights include Gallery of Sound with guest artists h2 quartet, Vivaldi’s Four Seasons featuring violinist Matthew Vera, the Center’s annual Holiday Pops with Broadway star Dez Duron (Maybe Happy Ending), OCEAN In Concert with live orchestration performing Steven Price’s score alongside the acclaimed film narrated by David Attenborough, and a season finale featuring Brahms’ Symphony No. 4 and Dvořák’s Cello Concerto with guest cellist Gabriel Martins.

The Broadway & Beyond series brings six major titles to Midland, beginning with the return of the Tony Award®-winning JERSEY BOYS. The season continues with the laugh-out-loud whodunit CLUE; the 30th anniversary tour of the international dance phenomenon RIVERDANCE 30 – THE NEW GENERATION; the wildly funny BEETLEJUICE, based on Tim Burton’s dearly beloved film; A BEAUTIFUL NOISE: THE NEIL DIAMOND MUSICAL, the uplifting true story of how a kid from Brooklyn became a chart-busting, show-stopping American icon; and a bold contemporary retelling of a classic, THE WIZ, that took the world by storm.

The Windows on Our World series offers audiences a vibrant lineup of artists from around the globe. This year’s series includes CelloGayageum, an intercultural duo blending cello and traditional Korean gayageum; the high energy celebration of celtic and Christmas classics with Tartan Terrors: Celtic Christmas Spectacular; a breathtaking celebration of Guinean acrobatics, music and dance with Cirque Kalabanté; and tenThing Brass Ensemble, the internationally acclaimed all-female Norwegian brass ensemble.

Center Stage Theatre presents a five-show season filled with comedy, heart, and suspense. The season includes 9 TO 5, adapted from the classic film with a score by Dolly Parton; COME FROM AWAY, the story of a small Canadian town that welcomed thousands of stranded travelers on September 11, 2001; Stephen King’s MISERY, a tense thriller about a novelist held captive by his self-proclaimed biggest fan; Robert O’Hara’s sharp satire BARBECUE, where a family cookout-turned-intervention unravels into a look at race, class and addiction; and THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME, a sweeping story of Quasimodo, who dreams of life beyond the cathedral.
