The Saginaw Art Museum & Gardens is pleased to announce the upcoming TempleArts Youth Arts Festival, a two-day celebration of creativity and expression taking place on May 7 & 9, 2026. This dynamic event will showcase the talents of young artists across a variety of disciplines, including film, music, theatre, and visual arts.

Building on the success of its inaugural year, the 2026 festival expands across both TempleArts institutions. Day one will feature theatrical performances and film screenings by students at The Temple Theatre, while day two will take place at the Saginaw Art Museum & Gardens with interactive art activities and students performing live music in the gardens.

Open to all ages, the Youth Arts Festival invites the community to experience two distinct but connected days of programming, each offering a unique lens into youth creativity.

Participating groups include the Saginaw Bay Youth Orchestra, Saginaw Strings, The Saginaw United High School Phoenix Drumline, and Major Chords for Minors, among others.

“The Youth Arts Festival is designed as a two-day experience that fully activates both TempleArts venues,” said Thor Rasmussen, Associate Director of the Saginaw Art Museum & Gardens. “From performances and film at the Temple Theatre to hands-on artmaking and music at the museum and gardens, each day offers something different while together telling a larger story about the creativity of young people in our region. It’s an opportunity to bring our community into both spaces and celebrate the full spectrum of youth expression.”

Experience two days of imagination, inspiration, and community celebration at
The Temple Theare 201 N. Washington Saginaw, on May 7th and at the Saginaw Art Museum & Gardens, 1126 N. Michigan Ave, on May 9th.
