At Home for the Holidays with Saginaw Choral Society

Posted in: Concerts

SCS proudly present 3 holiday specials you can enjoy for FREE from the comfort of your home or with some friends and holiday cheer at a watch party. Each night premiers a new episode. Join us as we return to the traditions inspired by Perry Como or Andy Williams in TV holiday specials from years past. We will be filming and performing in several iconic locations, like Bronner’s Silent Night Chapel in Frankenmuth and the Temple Theatre in Saginaw, as well as in several local churches. The videos will showcase singers in solos, small groups, instrumentalists, a bell choir, narration, and indoor and outdoor visual elements. Check our our Facebook page for more details as they unfold. This first episode features special guest Kevin Cole. Free online viewing at www.sagnawchoralsociety.com “As you can imagine, going to an online virtual format has been a huge learning curve for us,” says Tamara Grefe, SCS Executive Director. “Producing a recording of one single voice is something we were capable of, but imagine producing a recording of 60 individual voices, in 60 different locations, singing multiple parts! The concept was technologically challenging, but exciting at the same time!” The videos will showcase singers in solos, small groups, instrumentalists, bell choir, narration, and wonderful indoor and outdoor visual elements. Artistic Director, Jeremiah Kraniak, leads us musically, with a full script written by our very own Ric Roberts.”
