The Great Lakes Loons keep plowing away towards another great season by sweeping the Bowling Green Hot Rods over the weekend.  The Eastern Division leader with a 20-12 record welcome into Dow Diamond the in-state rivals Lansing Lugnuts for a 3 game series.

Pitching star 19 year old Zach Lee has shown that the Los Angeles Dodgers are starting to get a good return on their investment.    Lee has pitched 5 strong outings so far this season with currently a 3-0 record.  He has not gone past the sixth inning so far in the season and is on a pitch count.    Lee has been working closely with Loon's pitching coach Kremlin Martinez in his bullpen sessions.   This is the learning stage for Lee who probably won't be around Dow Diamond very long.   I expect that the Dodgers will let him go through the end of July before any moves are made with Lee.

What is happening at Dow Diamond is the same thing that happened here in 2007 with Clayton Kershaw the star pitcher.   Here today gone tomorrow before they move up to the next level and within 3 years most likely will be on the staff of the Los Angeles Dodgers.   So keep an eye on when Zac Lee will be pitching at home and make it a point to get out to Dow Diamond to see this true prospect in action.
