Over the years, the Review Awards have served as a platform for many new bands to announce themselves as part of the regional scene.  This year the Rock Category featured wins by a couple of up and coming acts, Rest For The Wicked and For Tomorrow.  Both bands work the Hard and Metal Genres.

For Tomorrow took home Best Metal Band in the 2019 Review Awards with their bassist, Chris Haller, also taking home Best Rock Bassist.  Rest For the Wicked took home the trophy for Favorite Rock Band.

Here are a pair of Q & A’s with the bands, so you can get to know their story and their personnel a little better.  Find them on social media for news about gigs and updates on recordings

For Tomorrow

When and where did the band start?

For Tomorrow: The concept of the band started with Mike (Wilson) tracking guitar riffs at home in Saginaw. In early 2017  Haller joined and the project started. We had many friends and other musicians jam with us in 2017, but it was not until mid-summer of 2018 when Joe joined the band and things really started picking up momentum.

Who are the members of the band?

Joe Gibson – Guitar/ Vocals

Mike Wilson – Drums/ Vocals

Chris Haller – Bass/ Vocals

Who would you list as your major musical influences?

We love melodic choruses and crunching riffs. Our influences range from Tremonti to Periphery and everything in-between for this project. Each member has their own style and influences that really compliments For Tomorrow.

What are the band's plans for 2019?

2019 is going to be a big year for us. We are currently recording our first album, which will be out later this year. As for playing out, we are currently booking shows from summer on. So be sure to look for us in your neighborhood.

Our FT family is truly amazing. They are the reason we made it this far and took home some awards. We can’t thank them enough. It was a huge honor for us just to be entered with so many amazing artists.
