The Saginaw Spirit will look to make it three straight wins under interim head coach Moe Mantha when they welcome the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds to the Dow Event Center tonight.

The Spirit are coming off consecutive wins against two of the better teams in the OHL this week.

Wednesday night, the Spirit beat the Sarnia Sting 5-2 in front of a good crowd for a mid-week game. Kirill Maksimov, Matthew Kreis, Kris Bennett, Tye Felhaber, and Will Petschenig all scored for the Spirit, while Maksimov and Bennett also added assists, earning 2-points each respectively.

Last night, the Spirit beat the top-ranked team in major junior hockey, the Erie Otters 3-1 in front of a capacity crowd of 5,023 to kick off Ice Blast weekend at the Dow Event Center. Artem Artemov, Hayden Hodgson, and Bennett scored for the Spirit.

The Spirit 22-29-3-3 are currently in eighth place in the western conference of the OHL, just 9-points behind the seventh place Soo Greyhounds.

The puck is set to drop at 7:05 p.m. tonight.
