The red hot Saginaw Spirit (12-9-3-0) will matchup against some of the top teams in the Ontario Hockey League this weekend, starting with a home game tonight against the top eastern conference team (No. 8 in the CHL) the Hamilton Bulldogs (14-6-2-3) at 7:05 pm at the Dow Event Center.

Tonight's game will feature four Detroit Red Wings prospects, as Saginaw's Brady Gilmour (a seventh round pick of the Red Wings in the 2017 NHL draft) and Spirit defenseman Marcus Crawford (a free agent invited to the 2017 Red Wings' training camp) will go up against Hamilton defenseman Reilly Webb (a sixth round pick of the Red Wings in the 2017 NHL draft) and Bulldogs' goal tender Kaden Fulcher (a free agent signed by the Red Wings).

It doesn't get any easier for the Spirit as the OHL's top western conference team (also ranked No. 1 in the Canadian Hockey League) the Sarnia Sting (21-4-1-0) make a visit to the Dow Event Center for the annual Guns & Hoses game on Saturday night.

The Spirit wrap up its 3-game home-stand with a 5:30 pm game against the Niagara IceDogs (11-8-3-2) at the Dow Event Center on Sunday afternoon.

Sunday's game will feature the fifth annual Teddy Bear Toss benefiting the Jayden Lamb Memorial Foundation. A limited number of Teddy Bears will be available for $5 each and will be tossed onto the ice after the first Spirit goal. All proceeds will be donated to the Jayden Lamb foundation.
