The tournament will give the Canadian and Russian national teams a chance to see prospective players when deciding on who will represent their respective country at the 2019 International Ice Hockey Federation U-20 World Juniors Championship, which will be held in Vancouver and Victoria, British Columbia this winter.

Russia will open the tournament against all star's from the WHL on Monday Nov. 5, with a 7 pm (PST) face off at the Sandman Centre in Kamloops, BC, and will take on the WHL all star's again on Tue Nov. 6, with a 7 pm (PST) face off at the Langley Events Centre in Langley, BC near Vancouver, before Prosvetov joins the Russian team to take on the OHL all star's Thursday night for a 7 pm face off at the Progressive Auto Sales Arena in Sarnia, ON, which will give him enough time to make it back to Saginaw when the Spirit host the Mississauga Steelheads for a 7:05 pm face off at the Dow Event Center on Friday Nov. 9, the following night.
