Former Arthur Hill H.S. Basketball star Brian 'Tugs' Bowen added another piece of hardware to his growing collection after being name co-MVP (along with University of Miami FL commit Lonnie Walker Jr.) at the Jordan Brand Classic boys national game in Brooklyn, NY this afternoon. The game was nationally televised on ESPN.

Bowen, an uncommitted senior, transferred to La Lumiere prep academy in LaPorte, IN after leading Arthur Hill to the MHSAA Class A boys state final following his sophomore year.

After leaving Arthur Hill for the higher competition and college-like program at La Lumiere, Bowen would lead La Lu to the Dick's national championship game in his junior year where they lost to 2016 champion Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, VA) last year before returning for a 2017 Dick's National Championship victory over Monteverde Academy (Montverde, FL) two weeks ago.

Bowen, who is currently ranked No. 12 in the ESPN 100 list of the top H.S. players in the country, led the east squad with 26 points and Walker Jr. led the west with 19 points as the west prevailed 124-116 today.

The only thing left for the Saginaw native is to make a decision where he will be playing college basketball next year.

Bowen has trimmed his list to six schools: Creighton, N.C. State, Arizona, UCLA, Texas, and Michigan State, and should be making his decision soon.
