MSU didn’t expect the game Furman ( the smallest division-one school in the nation) gave them. Furman stayed with State until the end on Friday night in front of 74,000 plus fans before losing out 28-13.

Surprisingly Furman has had football for 111 years.  State had way too many penalties on its young defensive line and needs serious improvement to succeed the rest of the season.  The QB Tyler O’Connor will improve and State will compete just fine.

I was at the game 2 hours early, and one thing MSU does not need help with is partying like it’s 1969; most of the student body was on their way well before game time.
