The 2013 Great Lakes Loons have clinched a spot in the Midwest League playoffs for the first time since 2010.  The Loons defeated the Dayton Dragons tonight 3-0 at Dow Diamond to make the playoffs for the 3rd time in team history.

Loons starter Chris Anderson pitched four strong innings tonight and the Loons are clicking now.  Manager Razor Shines in post game comments told the Dow Diamond crowd "We are not finished yet.  I want to thank all the loyal Loons fans this season."

The Loons still have four games left in the 2013 campaign.  They will start the first round of the Midwest League playoffs at home on Wednesday September 4, 2013 at 7:05p.m. against either the Fort Wayne Tincaps or the South Bend Silverhawks.  Games 2 and 3 will be played at their ballpark on Thursday and Friday of next week.  The first round of the Midwest League is 2 out of 3 games.
