The Great Lakes Loons are back in 1st Place right where they belong.  After having the best record in Minor League Baseball in 2010 Manager John Shoemaker's Loons are on a five game winning streak.   In the middle of a 9 game road trip the Loons are getting some great hitting with a 12 -3 victory over the Bowling Green Hot Rods on Thursday.   This along with some outstanding pitching with the rookie sensation Zac Lee who won his third game on Monday to improve to 3-0 on the young season.    The 14-7 start leaves the Loons in first place with a half game lead over the Lansing Lugnuts.   The Class A Dodgers affiliate will return home to face their in state rivals the West Michigan Whitecaps on Wednesday May 4th.   They will be home for 9 games.    The Loons are starting to heat up just like the weather in Michigan at the beginning of May.
