It’s time again to Go Wild! and Celebrate Earth Day with Mid Michigan Waste Authority (MMWA) at the Children’s Zoo at Celebration Square in Saginaw on Saturday, April 25, 2015, from 10 am to 2 pm.

This annual recycling celebration event promises a fun-filled, environmentally-focused day for kids of all ages. To make it even more appealing, MMWA and the Zoo are offering free admission to the first 400 people who bring a recyclable beverage container!

The eco-experience begins before you even get inside the zoo gates. To recycle those beverage containers from zoo visitors, a Waste Management recycling truck will be parked at the entrance gate to allow folks to see how recyclables are serviced curbside. Then it’s time to go wild inside the zoo, participating in all the regular zoo exhibits and activities, plus face painting, temporary tattoos, educational exhibits and trash-to-treasure crafts. Learn from MMWA and a variety of Earth Day partners about recycling, natural resources, water protection and more.

oin MMWA and other area eco-friendly organizations as they celebrate the benefits and rewards of recycling. Guests can learn about a variety of eco-education topics, take part in hands-on activities and take home some great green give-aways. Kids age 13 and under won’t want to miss the ninth edition of the free RecycleMotion t-shirt made from recycled plastic. Various kids’ sizes are available, while supplies last.
