Matt Costello is now producing the kind of numbers that many thought he would when he decided to attend Michigan State University.   Now a junior for the traditionally ranked Michigan State Spartans Costello is on a hot streak scoring in double figures the last four games.   He totals against Texas Southern were 17 points and 10 rebounds in just 22 minutes of play.

He has progressed each season as a Spartan in terms of starts and more playing time.   Matt is now averaging almost 20 minutes a game in his 3rd season in East Lansing.  A positive player who give a 100 percent on every play.   With head coach Tom Izzo still trying to figure out rotations for the Spartans this season seems to have Matt coming off the bench after starting the first 6 games of the year.

The 2014 Academic All Big Ten selection could attain Academic All American status this school year from his outstanding classroom work.   If Matt continues to improve and put up these kind of numbers the opportunity to play after his MSU days are over appear very good.   Hard work and dedication to constantly improving are benchmarks for this young man.
