YMCA Summer Concert • Shakedown: Bob Seger Tribute

Posted in: Concerts

The YMCA of Saginaw’s annual concert event is returning bigger and better as a two-day music festival. The FREE 2-day festival benefits several charities in the community including Boys and Girls Club, Kappa Alpha Psi Alumni Chapter, East Side Soup Kitchen, and the YMCA of Saginaw. Resources from sponsors, donors, and partners benefit programs at the YMCA focused on feeding the community, veterans, water safety, older adults, youth & family programs, Camp Timbers and YMCA scholarships. Additionally, the Versiti blood bus will be onsite both days taking much needed blood donations. Thursday June 15th concert features Shakedown: a Bob Seger Tribute band, and will also be Veterans Night. The first 50 registered veterans will receive VIP seating, complementary drinks, popcorn, and a meal. Veterans can register on Eventbrite.com. For Friday June 16th, the featured artist is Stone Street Revival. Both days start at 4pm when Food Truck Alley (featuring Marias Mexican, Olvera’s BBQ, Sharrie’s International Cuisine, and the Artisian Bistro) opens. Giant bounce houses from Bouncing Bellas will be onsite in the Kids’ STEM zone play area. Tri City Cornhole will be leading a youth event on Thursday and a sanctioned tournament on Friday.
