Tanabata Star Festival

Tanabata, Star Festival, commemorates the meeting of two deities in love represented as the stars Vega and Altair. They are only allowed to meet once a year, on July 3rd as long as the skies are clear! This is a family event with a story time learning about a popular Japanese legend of a prince and princess. Origami and Calligraphy and writing your wishes and decorating bamboo trees. Admission: Free.
