Posted in: Art

Frankenmuth Arts Council invites you to this amazing and unique art festival . Pouring hot iron is an old art with molten metal poured into a hardened sand mold, once cooled the artwork can be removed; a process much like soap or candy making. Help and teaching will be available. Tiles will be poured with iron at dusk on Friday and Saturday. You may finish you piece yourself or by having us sandblast it for you. Festival will include food, drink station, live music, nightly iron pour performance, live entertainment, Plein Air art competition for amateur and professional levels and hands-on workshops. Admission: Workshop & piece $65.00 / with sandblasting $75.00. Held at Frankenmuth Farmers Market, 534 North Main Street, Frankenmuth. 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Phone: (989) 598-4967
