They have commissioned internationally-acclaimed composer Joel Thompson to write new music celebrating the lives of Michigan civil rights heroes, Rosa Parks, Viola Liuzzo, and Grace Lee Boggs. In addition to the new music written exclusively for this performance, Thompson has paired previously written repertoire that will enhance the evening honoring these incredible women.
