Through the work of contemporary industrial designer John Kaloustian this exhibition celebrates a strong tradition of industrial design in Michigan, dating back to the mid-20th century, where those artists were responsible for helping to usher in mid-century modern design. The work in this exhibition spans Kaloustian’s entire career as an industrial designer, not only focusing on furniture for the home and office but other innovative projects as well. Displayed in three themed room vignettes, this exhibition will demonstrate Kaloustian’s design process, taking some works from concept through development to productions, with preliminary sketches, scale models and final works. Saginaw Art Museum, 1126 N. Michigan Ave. Open noon to 5 PM. $3.00 admission, 15 and under Free. Phone 989-754-2491. Runs thru June 7th.
