Bay Chorale • A Joyful Christmas Celebration

Posted in: Concerts

The Bay Chorale is in its 55th consecutive year. Under the baton of James Leonard, the first concert was performed in 1966 at Bay City Central High School with 125 voices singing “The Messiah.” Every year The Bay Chorale performs a Spring and Christmas holiday concert. There have been nine directors with the most recent being long-term SVSU professor Dr. Eric Nisula. Kristin Neubecker has been the accompanist for 15 years. In 1992 The Bay Chorale was invited to join the SVSU Choirs on their trip to perform in Russia. The joint choirs became musical ambassadors to nine different countries on a variety of trips over the next 15 years. Admission $10. Starts at 7 PM. The State Theatre, 913 Washington Ave., Bay City.
