39th Annual Saginaw Valley Humanities Series: The Oppermann Family Entrepreneurs.

Kicking off the 2019 season of the longest running humanities series in the U.S.A are presenters David & Jeff Oppermann. Since Frederick Oppermann came to East Saginaw in 1865 and established his Oppermann Fur business on Genesee street, the business continued through 2nd generation Gustav and 3rd generation Arthur. 3rd generation Peter developed Radio Ceenter as Saginaw's first retailer of radios and TVs. 4th generation David, after years of broadcasting in radio & TV founded Nationwide Fireworks, the New Reformation band in 1979, and Oppermann Travel offices in the tai-cities. 5th generation Jeff began his Cork 'n Ale on Midland Rd. 6th generation sons Sean and Ryan manage their Midland store. Dave and Jeff will present their family's Saginaw businesses for 154 years. Held at SASA, 1903 N. Niagara St. Starts at 7 PM.
