The Saginaw Spirit will host the ontario hockey leagues eastern conference leaders the Kingston Frontenacs at the Dow Event Center tonight for a 7 pm face off.

The Frontenacs (40-15-2-2) are led by Michael Dal Colle and Spencer Watson.

Dal Colle, a first round pick of the New York Islanders (number 5 overall) in the 2014 NHL entry draft, just earned OHL career point number 300 in a 4-0 win over Niagara on Sunday Feb. 21 at the K-Rock Centre in Kingston, Ontario.

Watson, a seventh round pick of the L.A. Kings (209 overall) in the 2014 NHL entry draft, currently leads the Front's in scoring with 36-goals and 42-assists for 78-points.

Dal Colle won a Memorial Cup with Spirit defenceman Will Petschenig last season as teammates for the Oshawa Generals, where he had spent the majority of his OHL career. He was traded to Kingston at the beginning of January in exchange for winger Robbie Burt, two second round picks and two third round picks over the period of four OHL priority selection drafts between 2017 and 2022.

The Spirit (23-31-4-3) continue to hold a 9 point lead over the Flint Firebirds for the eighth and final western conference playoff spot in the 2016 OHL playoffs, which are set to begin during the last week of March.
