Clinging to a 3-2 lead, the Sugar Beets broke the game wide open with a 3-run rally in the seventh, kick-started by RF Noah Marcoux (Davenport University) who led off the inning with a 450-foot solo home run (his fourth of the season) over the right-center field wall at Dow Diamond, before shortstop Cooper Marshall (Western Michigan University) and LF Gaosh Williams (Central Michigan University) followed with back to back singles, which led to Marshall scoring on a wild pitch, while Williams came home following a bases loaded walk to Max Trucks (Alma College) for a 6-2 Sugar Beets lead in the bottom of the seventh inning.

The Graders had jumped out to an early lead when Galion RF Jose De La Cruz (Manhattan College) roped a 2-run double, driving in DH Juan De La Cruz (Oklahoma Wesleyan University) and CF Austin Hathaway (University of Charlseton) for a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning.

Saginaw answered in the third when Marshall (WMU) reached with a 1-out triple, then was driven in on a sac fly RBI off the bat of his Western Michigan teammate Connor Charping before Williams (CMU) scored on an RBI-single by catcher Adam Proctor (Michigan State University) to tie the game at 2-runs apiece in the bottom of the third inning.

Sugar Beets starter Ryan Jungbauer (University of Northwestern Ohio) gave up just 2-runs on 6-hits and 3-walks, while striking out 4-batters through 6-innings to pick up his first win of the season tonight, while his counterpart from the Graders, Galion starter Branden Schlick (Clarion University) gave up 2-runs on 5-hits and 3-walks, with 3-strikeouts through 5-innings.
