The Detroit Pistons 5 game winning streak came to a quick end on Saturday night to a very balanced Atlanta Hawks team at the Palace of Auburn Hills.   The Hawks jumped out to a quick 11-2 lead and the the Pistons were playing catch up all night.    The Hawks improved to (44-30) with a solid 112-95 victory.

The Pistons who are playing like a water faucet where they can go hot or cold in minutes.   On Friday night against the Charlotte Bobcats they played like gang busters in the first half scoring 72 points and then just barely hung on to get the victory.    Tonight against the Atlanta Hawks they struggled to get 36 points by halftime.    They made a strong push in the 3rd quarter to get within 9 points going into the fourth quarter.

Tobias Harris lead the Pistons (39-35) with 21 points while Andre Drummond played another strong game with 19 points and 17 rebounds.   The Hawks would have 8 players in double figures lead by Paul Millsap 23 points.   Detroit is in the middle of a rare 9 game home stand in which they are playing very well going 5-2 in the first 7 games.   They now will face Oklahoma City and Dallas in the next two games at the Palace.   Detroit is making a strong push to be the 8 seeded team in the Eastern Conference for the NBA Playoffs.  The Pistons are still drawing good crowds again at the Palace.
