Cincinnati, Ohio-    Major League Baseball presented the 17th annual "Futures Game" at the Great American Ballpark on Sunday July 12th.   This matches the top young talent currently in the Minor Leagues in a format pitting the best American players against the best from the World.   The games have been lopsided in recent years with the USA team holding a 10-6 lead in the series to date.

The teams were managed by two former all time greats from the Cincinnati Reds Tony Perez and Ken Griffey Sr.    Some of the games brightest stars would play in front of a sold out crowd (43,661) at the Great American Ballpark.   Ozhaino Albies of the Atlanta Braves and J.P.Crawford would be the youngest players in the game.

The American team jumped out to a four run lead right off the bat and would give (Reds) starter Amir Garrett all he would need to notch the victory in the 10-1 romp.   Several members of the 2015 MLB All-Star roster have played in the Futures Game before arriving to the Major Leagues.    Including Detroit's own Miguel Cabrera who played in the game twice.   This game provides a good look at the up coming stars of tomorrow for MLB.
