Hello Faux Family!!

First and foremost we would like to thank everyone who voted for us. It is your support that makes it possible for us to do what we love and we don't take that for granted. You are our lifeblood and we are extremely grateful.

A lot of good things have come our way since we were the new guys on the scene a year ago and it's been a whirlwind of a ride. The summer following last year's Review Awards found us working with Bobby Randall at Main Frame Studios in Nashville getting some of songs down for our debut EP, then off to Texas for our second tour. It was a bit more extensive than our first one and capped off with playing the outdoor stage at none other than Luckenbach, Texas. It was an amazing experience.

Right after that, last September we had our CD Release Party at the Machine Shop in Flint and were floored by the amount of support we got from our fans. The crowd response was fantastic and it is truly gratifying to see so many people enjoying our music.

Another Texas tour in November found us branching out to new places such as Houston, Eagle Pass and San Angelo; it also found us at some of our favorite haunts like the Zuehl Saloon, where Jake and Megan decided to get married before a show. If that wasn't magical enough, we also got invited back to Luckenbach and got the opportunity not only to play on the big stage in the dance hall, but to a sold out crowd opening for one of our biggest influences as a band: Kevin Fowler. He makes very good chili.

We've been staying busy between tours as well and have been fortunate enough to be able to get around the country a bit with regular stops in Chicago, Columbus, Nashville and Pittsburgh and sharing the stage with some great acts like Drew Moreland, Thompson Square, Tucker Beathard, Lance Carpenter and the Steel Woods.

We just wrapped up another Texas tour last week, which is why we weren't able to attend the Awards Ceremony this year.

These tours keep getting longer and larger in scope the more we go back; and this one was no different. We kicked the tour off with our first headlining show in the Luckenbach Dance Hall, which was one of the best experiences in our careers. The crowd was big and very receptive to our brand of Industrial Dirt country. The vibe in that room is otherworldly with all the history and legend that exists there, truly amazing. We were also fortunate enough to get a foot in the door at another iconic venue, John T. Floore's Country Store opening for our friend Nick Lawrence, so with any luck, we can become a regular fixture there as well.

So that's Kin Faux's year in a nutshell.

We are honored and grateful to everyone for the support and we deeply appreciate all of you that voted for us, bought our CD, come to our shows and encourage us in pursuing our passion.

Thank you so much!

Kin Faux
