Lodge, a 6’-2” 165 lb forward from Downingtown, Pa is ranked number 28 among North American players. Lodge is having a great season, scoring 14 goals, 20 assists, for 34 points this year. The showcase tournament in Buffalo invited the top 40 U.S. born players expected to be drafted in the 2013 NHL draft. Lodge competed earlier in the summer at the USA Hockey Youth Select 17 Player development camp in Rochester, NY; where he recorded 3 goals and 4 assists to tie for second place in scoring for the entire camp. His great showing in Rochester earned Lodge a spot on the USA Under-18 team which competed at the prestigious Ivan Hlinka memorial tournament in the Czech Republic and Slovakia this summer. The Ivan Hlinka memorial tournament is a showcase of the top players in the world under the age of eighteen, who will likely be selected in the 2013 NHL draft.
Nick Moutrey is a 6’-3” 208 lb forward from Shelburne, Ontario is ranked number 48 among North American players eligible for the 2013 NHL draft in New Jersey this summer. Moutrey has 13 goals and 17 assists for 30 points so far this season. Moutrey has been a key component in his teams recent five game winning streak. Moutrey and his line mates; Justin Kea and Jeremiah Addison have been one of the top producing lines for the Spirit as of late.
The top-ranked North American player in the recent NHL central scouting rankings is Seth Jones, who plays for the Portland Winterhawks in the Western Hockey League.
