The Great Lakes Loons continue their 2nd half roll by defeating the Lansing Lugnuts 3-2 in walk off fashion at the Dow Diamond.  The Loons had beaten the Nuts the night before 2-1 with another walk off win in front of the largest crowd ever in the Dow Diamond history.   Tyler Ogle blasted a double to the deepest part of Dow Diamond to drive in Aaron Miller who had just singled in the bottom of the 9th inning.   Over 5,500 fans took in the action today with the Loons promotional hat give-a-way which was the 2nd straight sell-out.    The night before 6,181 fans watched the Loons keep their 2nd half hopes alive by having the best record in the Eastern Division.

Lansing who has struggled this season put up a good fight in this low scoring game tied at 2-2 going into the Loons last at bat.  Tyler Ogle who now is playing some first base at the request of the Los Angeles Dodgers came to bat with a runner on first.   "I looked to Razor to see if he wanted me to bunt and he gave me the green light to hit away."  Ogle then bombed a blast to center field that sent Aaron Miller around the bases to score the game winning run.

The Loons improved the 2nd half record to 30-19 and a 1 1/2 game lead over the Bowling Green Hot Rods for a final spot in the Midwest League playoffs which start the day after Labor Day.  The Loons are pushing to improve their overall record to over .500 this year by going to 57-62.   The team is starting to click on all cylinders right now.   Razor Shines has them primed to make the Midwest League playoffs.
