Back in 1961 when the first Old Town Saginaw Art Fair was first held, it began as all art does, with the germination of an idea and over the expanse of 40 years became one of the biggest attractions in the region – earning a reputation as one of the oldest street-side Art Fairs in the State of Michigan; and pre-dating even the Ann Arbor Art Fair.
This juried fine art festival is now making a return and is busily planning its second comeback season of providing an opportunity for artists to showcase a breadth of their work in the heart of Old Town Saginaw, while providing an opportunity for community members to view and purchase artwork, participate in free art-based activities, and see live art demonstrations.
The 2018 Old Town Art Fair dates are set for Friday, August 10th (10 am – 7 pm) and Saturday, August 11th (10 am – 7 PM) and artists are encouraged to submit their applications now. The application deadline is Saturday, June 30th at midnight.
Applications can be submitted through Zapplication.org.
