East Asian Culture Exhibition

This exhibit will explore China and Japan, each with their own a unique cultures, languages, cuisines, customs and traditions. The exhibit will showcase Japanese Friendship dolls including an original doll from 1927, and two replicas of terra cotta warrior statues gifted to the Museum by the Chines in 2008. In addition, the exhibit will have cultural items, clothing, hand-crafted stonework, ceramics, basketry and more. There will be a special hands-on children's area with costumes, tea ceremony items and calligraphy supplies. Curated by The Detroit Children's Museum Monday - Friday 9am-4pm, Saturday 9am-7pm, Sunday 12pm-5pm. Midland Center for the Arts, 1801 W. St. Andrews.
