The Public Theater’s Mobile Unit National team (based out of Manhattan) is partnering with the Saginaw community and 17 other Mid-western cities to encourage conversations in local communities through the Sweat Project. The local Saginaw team has focused our conversation around the topic of “work”. We invite you to the free World Premiere of a new short documentary film titled “A Body of Work”. What happens to people when the local auto factories shut down? This film highlights the stories of retired ex-automotive workers in the Saginaw area and how working at the factory affected them and those around them. Please join us for the World Premiere of this new film and discussions with members of The Public Theater and the local community directly following the film.
