Inspired Moments • New Work from Saginaw Area Watermedia Artists

The Saginaw Arts and Enrichment Commission will open its Art @ the Andersen 2026 Fall Show, featuring works by members of the Saginaw Area Watermedia Artists (SAWA), on October 6 and running through October 15 at the Andersen Enrichment Center in Saginaw,120 Ezra Rust Drive.

The public is invited to meet the artists at the Opening Reception on Tuesday, October 6 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Exhibition hours are 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Exhibition and reception are FREE to the public. 

Inspired Moments celebrates the creative visions of the SAWA artists. From tranquil landscapes to vibrant blooms, participating artists bring watermedia to life through expressive color, texture, and a fresh perspective on the world around us. 

New this year: See It. Love It. Take It Home! Fall in love with a piece of original artwork and take it home with you! A selection of original, unframed artwork will be available for purchase during the opening reception on October 6. Cash or checks only. 

The Saginaw Area Watermedia Artists is a non-profit organization formed in 1997 and comprised of mid- Michigan area artists, which works to promote the fine art of painting in mediums of watercolor and acrylics.

To support art education in the schools, each year SAWA gives a community award to an area school. The award is used for the purchase of much needed art supplies. SAWA currently has over 50 members from five counties, from career artists to beginning hobbyists. SAWA provides all their members with opportunities to learn from other artists through workshops and demonstrations as well as opportunities to exhibit their work in area shows. 

Art @ Andersen Fall Show is presented by Health Advantage Credit Union, with support from the John Michael Jefferes Memorial Fund, Jury Foundation, Harvey Randall Wickes Foundation, and the Michigan Arts & Culture Council.

Art @ Andersen was established by the Saginaw Arts and Enrichment Commission to give artists in the Great Lakes Bay Region an opportunity to exhibit and sell their work.
