Under the guise of child protection, the Senate Commerce Committee has managed to pass S1748, the Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA) before taking their summer break and now they hope to move it through the full Senate over the next few weeks before the mid-term election.
KOSA is dressed up as an online safety measure, but in reality sets the stage for a Mandatory Digital ID unless citizens take action now to stop them and send a clear message to Congress that government was designed to protect our individual liberty and sovereignty and not legislate away our most important freedom of all: freedom of choice.
In anticipation of KOSA passing, Microsoft published instructions for developers just this week for the coming digital ID programming interface.
With Big Brother and Big Tech working together, the transition to the globalist digital ID scheme will be seamless, which is why Campaign for Liberty has launched an important campaign through their Hands Off Our Liberty campaign to sign and Fax to your U.S. Senators right away.
The truth is, passage of KOSA would not just bring Digital ID to fruition, it woujld also lead to the same authoritarian assaults on your free speech that is happening in Britain right now. Britain’s speech restrictions, which include “controversial” social media posts, jokes, and other forms of expression, were brought about by their own “Online Safety Act,” which encouraged platforms to restrict lawful material to certain age brackets – eerily similar to KOSA.
It’s hard to overstate the incredible chilling effect KOSA would have on free speech. Once the entire scheme is in place, ALL anonymity would be removed from the internet. Many liberty-loving Americans would silence themselves for fear of becoming targets of political “retribution; and more importantly it would open the door to government control of your financial assets, your mobility, and your basic ability to acquire goods and services.
Our Founding Fathers understood that privacy and liberty go hand-in-hand. In fact, when Thomas Painepublished his pamphlet Common Sense in 1776, he did so anonymously, out of fear of retribution. And when the Constitution was being debated, both the Federalist Papers and the Anti-Federalist Papers were written and published under pseudonyms for the very same reason.
Digital ID won’t just threaten your free speech, it will ultimately be required for banking, financial transactions, employment verification, healthcare, travel, and virtually every aspect of daily life.
Free societies don't require government-approved identification before citizens can participate in public life. Authoritarian governments do.
If Congress builds the foundation today, future politicians -- Republicans or Democrats -- will inherit an incredibly powerful tool for monitoring and controlling you and me, which we cannot allow to happen.
The Surveillance State wants to remove all anonymity from the internet so all of your online activities can be tracked and scrutinized. To bring their dystopian scheme to fruition requires a digital ID.
Multiple bills are moving through Congress RIGHT NOW that will either set the stage for a mandatory digital ID or outright create one as a Nanny State “protection” for America’s youth. KOSA is expected to be taken up in the U.S. Senate in the next few weeks. A similar bill has already passed the U.S. House.
As digital entrepreneur Joshua Stylman has noted: “What makes consciousness inviolable isn’t technology or law. It’s this: consciousness is the irreducible seat of human agency. Without a sovereign mind, choice becomes performance, belief becomes programming, and consent becomes engineered compliance.”
By disconnecting our freedom of choice from the biological apparatus that enables the sovereignty of our mind, all decisions get channeled through a controlled infrastructure. If individual freedom and actions cannot be controlled directly, through Digital ID’s the government will be able to control systems or institutions that people depend upon to function, and through this process our sovereignty will become nothing more than programmable assets to be harvested.
