Bijou Presents 'Sounds of Romance'

The always entertaining and consistently unpredictable Leo Najar & The Bijou Orchestra will sample a rich variety of romantic songs in their next concert entitled Candy is Dandy. Just in time for Valentine's Day, the performances will be held on February 11
th at 8 PM and February 12th at 2 PM in the historic State Theatre in downtown Bay City. The concert is the second of three in the Labadie Bijou Pops Series at the State.

"Trying to select a few good love songs is like picking your favorite snowflakes," says artistic director Najar. "There are millions of choices, I'm sure the very first songs ever created were 'written' by men trying to attract women and women trying to attract men. The supply of great romantic music covers every style imaginable, from Cole Porter to Patsy Cline and La Boheme to The Beatles. We can't do it all, of course, but are going to present a bouquet of choices certain to be a treat for the orchestra and singers as much as the audience."

Reserved seats are $22 ($15 for students with ID) and unreserved seating may be purchased for $15 ($11 for students) at www.BijouOrchestra.org or by phoning 892-4200.
