Timothy Hyde Project
Releases Remarkable CD
But
one of the major components that made this original work so engaging is the fact
that - similar to the Broadway play Cats - by looking at the grace and
foulness, the cruelty and kindness that is more or less embedded in the human
condition from the perspective of a so-called 'lesser being', Boychuck managed
to hold a mirror up to the self-centered nature of humanity in general to allow
us to see the many forgotten ways that we can grow to become positive forces in
the often precarious balance of nature. Apart
from the strength of the work itself, one cannot help but admire the collective
of musicians that comprise The Timothy Hyde Project. Varying in age from
24 to 45 years old, many of the musicians (including Boychuck and Dr. Ben
Mayne on keyboards) carry respectable 'day jobs' far removed from the rattle
& hum of the performing stage. So it is impressive, to say the least, that they
could all find the time to create and hone this project over the years (first as
an original work, then as an elaborate theatrical production, and now as a
carefully polished CD) to the level it has arrived at today. Recorded at Big Bear Studios in Midland and engineered by Rick Armstrong, this freshly released & recorded disc of Heal is equally breathtaking in terms of the lofty musical textures it scales, as it is meticulous in terms of its layered detail. Much of this density and simultaneous clarity of sound can be attributed to the fact that the 'Project' has now evolved to eight musicians performing it on stage to 27 separate artists performing on the recorded version - inclusive of a six-voice Children's' Choir. And of course, one can never go wrong adding the formidable musical strength of such guitar slingers as Dave Kellan and drummer Troy Pomranky to the mix. Heal is a remarkable musical production, generated and created entirely by local talent, that in essence tells the tale of the Prodigal Son and the phases of his life, from abuser to abused. It is powerful, magical, and you are highly encouraged to purchase the latest escalation of this potent piece of art. Heal can be purchased by sending $10.00 to Timothy Hyde Project, LLC; P.O. Box 2240; Midland, MI 48640 or by ordering via telephone at 989-839-5197. Proceeds go to the David Reece Endeavor of Midland, an organization that helps handicap people find homes to live in and begin a fresh start in life. |
