MUSIC SCOOP:

Former Saginawian Earns a Place with The Osbournes
By Robert E. Martin
Alicia Warrington

It is always gratifying when local talent gets their shot at the Big Time,

and it is most exciting to report that former Saginawian Alicia Warrington

has just received word that she will become the new drummer for Kelly

Osbourne (yes, kids, Ozzy Osbourne's 'pride & joy').
Formerly of the local band Fudge Gun, Alicia was collaborating with Noel

Howland of Lila Rasa prior to moving out to Los Angeles last year.
Hot on the heels of her success re-recording the old Madonna single, Papa Don't Preach,
the younger Osbourne is releasing an album in a month and was looking for a

drummer to tour Europe and the United States with.
With only two other girls auditioning, Alicia nailed the job, and her

excitement is palpable.

"You can't imagine how excited I am," exclaims Alicia. "There are no words

to describe this. I got the call yesterday and spent six hours in their

studio. And yes, watch the Osbournes TV Show on MTV, because you'll see

the whole damn audition there!"
"It was very nerving. From now on the cameras follow us everywhere Kelly

and her family goes.
So how does Alicia feel?
"My world has literally changed overnight. I don't even have time to

think. I am doing my first video shoot in two days, have a wardrobe

stylist, a drum technician, and never have to set up, carry, or tune drums

again!"
"We'll be on The Tonight Show in November, going to London, Australia,

doing a People Magazine photo shoot, tons of radio and interviews for the

new album."

"Plus, we have tons of great tours in the new year scheduled that I'm not

allowed to mention whom they're with, but trust me, they are awesome."
"Tomorrow I'm meeting Kelly and company for lunch. Oh my God! What's going

on? I don't know. I get to meet Ozzy this week and, oh my goodness, I

seriously don't have one minute free after telling you this news."
"I have six hour rehearsals everyday. So please, tell everybody in Saginaw

that I love them!"
Such news could not happen to a better or more deserving person. Best of

luck, Alicia, and you can bet we'll all be tuning into the new season of

The Osbournes!
