ALDEN B. DOW HOME & STUDIO ANNOUNCES

AUTUMN REFLECTIONS TOURS


The Alden B. Dow Home & Studio, a National Historic Landmark, located at

315 Post St., Midland, is making a colorful transition from its annual

Conducted Tours to their new Autumn Reflection Tours on October 4,5, & 6.
Explore the Alden B. Dow Home & Studio along wit the Heath (the first Unit

Block House) and Ashmun (the Timber Tepee) Residences. The Autumn

Reflections Tours include four up close and in-depth tour choices.
The Regular Tour is an introductory tour of the beautiful architectural

masterpiece, the Alden B. Dow Home & Studio, then by bus, tour the

interiors of two other Dow designs, the Heath and Ashmun residences.
An Extended Home & Studio Tour is also an option for those that may want to

explore a little deeper into the Alden B. Dow Home & Studio by taking steps

into places never seen before. Walk on the roof, view the maids quarters,

the laundry room and more.
Also, an Extended Travel Tour is offered for those that would like to spend

more time in the interiors of the Heath and Ashmun residences as well as

one of Mr. Dow's religious structures.
Finally, you may take a Combination Tour by combining the Extended Home &

Studio Tour and the Extended Travel Tour for a full day of great

architecture.

Tours will last approximately two and one half hours. Children should be at

least 8 years old. Prices are as follows: Regular tour, adults $20.00;

student $15.00; Extended Home & Studio, adults $25.00; student $20.00;

adults $45.00; student $35.00.
